New beginnings!

Good afternoon, hello and hiya!

Apologies for not chatting to you all for so long but, as the title of this post suggests, it's time for some new beginnings!
After a few months of not feeling so well and having a poorly, elderly dog who has now crossed Rainbow Bridge, it's time to refocus on my papercrafting and Stampin' Up! adventures.

A change of name was also part of these new beginnings, for a few reasons, and what better name but that of our late doggy - Corrie. This name was chosen for her as a puppy, as it has a Scottish meaning - it means a cirque (or hollow) on top of a mountain formed by glacial erosion which fills with snow. Being a West Highland White Terrier, this fitted her perfectly.
I think it also fits my papercrafting perfectly, as I'm Scottish and it's been snowing here this weekend ...... plus I also still prefer making small projects - and Corrie was a small dog!
Also, one of my favourite sayings is "Every dog has its day", so this is very much Corrie's day 💖

So what have I been up to since I last dropped in?
Well, I've not been feeling so well over the past year and have had lots of hospital appointments and time off work, but I'm on the mend so I don't need to bore you all with any of the details.
Our gorgeous doggy also grew to be a poorly, blind and deaf elderly lady and a lot of our time was taken up with looking after her. We sadly had a very difficult decision to make in September and we've just taken some time to adjust to her no longer being around after being a huge part of the family for nearly 16 years.
So my crafting mojo took itself off for a VERY long holiday! Unfortunately, said mojo didn't actually do me the courtesy of saying where it had headed off to and, despite much searching, I couldn't find it anywhere! Naughty! So I had to wait until it felt good and ready to come back and tell me it was ready for more adventures 😵

More recently I've started to prepare for a Christmas papercraft workshop (details of the event here), so if you're in or around Dunfermline, Fife, it'd be lovely to see you if you can manage along for some Christmas crafting and mince pies 🎄
I've also started a new reading group to get back to another passion.

So although I have a new name here and on my Facebook page, I'm still me!
I hope you'll still follow me and enjoy seeing what I've been up to - watch out for a post with a project VERY soon.
I'm currently thinking about how often to post in my blog and I'm even thinking about starting video tutorials ......... so I'd love to know what you think if I do!
Watch this space!

It's lovely to be back and I'm really looking forward to sharing some new projects and news with you.

See you all soon.
Karen x
