Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge

Good morning folks! I'm delighted to be back after being away for a while due to pressures of work in my day job! It's good to see you all visiting again.

Thank you for joining us for another Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge! We’re so excited to be sharing this hop with you.  The products used are all available in the current Annual, or seasonal, Stampin’ Up!® Catalogues.  Simply use the buttons at the bottom of the post to keep hopping!

This month the sketch was designed by the lovely Sally Shaw of Sally's Stampers:

At first I could only imagine a card but I wanted to do something other than a card and with a 'Halloweeny' theme, so I came up with the idea of a Halloween goody bag using a Petite Cafe Gift Bag.
I then had no idea what I was going to do next! So I just decided to randomly construct the design using a combination of the 'Halloween Night' Designer Series Papers and the 'Pumpkin Pie' glimmer paper and this is what happened!
I wanted to have a witch featuring somewhere and the little witch from the 'Halloween Scenes' edgelit dies was perfect, cut out from the glimmer paper. I bought the 'Spooky Fun' Photopolymer Bundle which included the dies and the 'Spooky Fun' photopolymer stamp set.

It's the first time I've done a 'see what happens' project and I had no idea how it would end up, but I don't think it turned out too badly - it's still growing on me, though!

The fringe 'bow' is made using the 'Halloween Night' bakers twine and I used some of the 'Halloween Night' enamel dots along the fold at the top of the bag.

I raised the witch up a bit using a Dimentional and the circle of DSP she's sitting on is cut using the 1-3/8" circle punch.

I hope you like it and maybe I'll make some more bags for Halloween too ......

That's it from me today, but I'll leave you now to hop on to the next blog, which has Dee's lovely creation:

Or if you're travelling through the hop backwards, you'll click here to find something fab from our Keren:

Happy hopping and we'll see you all again soon! Have a lovely weekend.
